Traditional shielding systems typically absorb and then drain noise\/RF energy to component ground, modulating and distorting the critical \"reference\" ground plane, which in turn causes signal distortion. Noise Dissipation \"shields the shield,\" absorbing and reflecting most of this noise\/RF energy before it reaches the ground-attached layer.\u003cbr\u003eAUDIOQUEST YUKON XLR uses polyethylene air-tube insulation on both conductors for greater geometry stabilization and improved clarity. Because air absorbs almost no energy and polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile, polyethylene air-tube insulation, with its high air content, causes much less of the \"blurring\" effect common to other materials.\u003cbr\u003eAUDIOQUEST YUKON XLR features cold-welded silver terminations directly to pure purple copper terminations.\u003cbr\u003eAUDIOQUEST YUKON XLR is made using Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) which prevents electrical and magnetic strand interaction.
