The microphone element is cardioid by design. However, a hemicardioid polar pattern is produced when paired with a flat surface such as a table, floor, wall or podium. The impressive design of the M60 brass housing is achieved through a complex process that utilizes a computerized machining center. The bottom of the housing is treated with a shock-absorbing material for damping and features two threaded holes allowing the M60 condenser microphone to be permanently secured in place if desired. A 25' high-quality shielded microphone cable is connected directly to the M60's internal circuitry, with the option to exit the housing at 180 or 90 degrees, depending on whether the cable is routed through a perforated surface. In addition, two types of connectors are available: XLRm or Phoenix. Available in satin nickel, black or white finish, the M60 operates on 18 to 52 V phantom power.
