This woofer for mid-lows is exclusively produced by Focal in its Saint-Étienne factory and stands out for being made of recycled carbon fiber blended with thermoplastic polymer. The compound gives the cone a peculiar and pleasant bluish hue. The combination of these two materials results in remarkable acoustic performance in terms of transduction speed, rigidity, and damping, which provide excellent dynamic reproduction and a more natural balance across the spectrum. Focal was the first company in the world in the audio field to use recycled carbon fiber in transducers.\u003cbr\u003eThe cabinet of the FOCAL ALPHA 50 EVO is made of 15mm thick MDF reinforced by an internal structure that makes them extremely robust, minimizing acoustic susceptibility even at high sound pressure levels. The bass-reflex uses a large front opening for laminar airflow aimed at containing turbulence and distortions in the reproduced signal. This translates into excellent integration into any listening setup, whether at home, in a van, or in a treated environment.
