To optimize performance, Focal chose a 1\" inverted dome aluminum tweeter for optimal and wide high-frequency dispersion within the listening area, and a special Slatefiber cone. The two 6.5\" (16.5cm) mid-bass woofers integrated into this model are exclusively produced by Focal in their Saint-Etienne factory and are distinguished by being made of recycled carbon fiber blended with thermoplastic polymer. This compound gives the cones a unique and pleasant bluish tint. The combination of these two materials results in remarkable acoustic performance in terms of transduction speed, rigidity, and damping, providing excellent dynamic rendition and a more natural balance across the spectrum.\u003cbr\u003eThe FOCAL ALPHA TWIN EVO cabinet is made of 15mm thick MDF, reinforced by an internal structure that makes them extremely robust, minimizing acoustic susceptibility even at high sound pressure levels. The bass-reflex ports each utilize a large front opening located below their respective woofers, for laminar airflow aimed at containing turbulence and distortion in the reproduced signal.
