The COMP-3A jr circuit is inspired by the famous \"program dependent\" electro-optical compressors of the past, in which attenuation was controlled by an electroluminescent panel and a photocell. The compression control, essentially based on the Gain Makeup and Peak Reduction parameters, makes it easier to achieve the desired sound. The COMP-3A jr includes a high-pass filter for better sidechain control, a Link connector that allows two units to be connected for stereo operation, adjustable output stage gain, and a \"Time\" switch that allows choosing between 3 different attack\/release time settings.
