Produced in the late 1950s, only a few units were manufactured. Of those remaining, some 60 years later, only a small percentage have been properly maintained and are still operational. Its rich, punchy, and warm sound has graced thousands of hits and never gone out of style. On the contrary, it is as desired today as it was at its launch, if not more so, given the digital age we live in. There is an ever-growing need for that analog magic to caress your mixes, and Heritage Audio has the answer with the HERCHILD Model 670. The HERCHILD Model 670 is a tube Variable-Mu compressor that faithfully reproduces the design and exact components used in the original. Equipped with 22 tubes and 9 transformers, operating at high voltage, it guarantees a solid and professional result. You can achieve a clean and transparent sound without artifacts or pumping, but also a more pronounced, dense, and heavy effect with added harmonics when pushed harder. The original is a classic, but working in the 21st century, we expect certain features. The HERCHILD Model 670 will not disappoint. The 6 Attack and Release times have been exactly duplicated, as has the all-tube sidechain circuit for precise control. You can now access the progressive ratio, a unique curve adjustment that combines ratio and knee control. This is continuously adjustable from hard limiting to very soft and transparent compression. There is also a sidechain filter with 4 selectable frequencies to reduce the influence of low frequencies on the signal, which is essential nowadays. The HERCHILD Model 670, being a 2-channel unit, also features the AGC section to determine which of the 4 modes to operate in. The 4 operating modes are: IND, LINK, LAT VERT, and LAT VERT LINK. IND offers independent control for each channel, while LINK links the two channels so that both are controlled by the average of the two channels' settings. LAT VERT mode dates back to the era of lathes for preparing vinyl records, where it was crucial to precisely determine the depth and width of the grooves. Today, the benefits of MID\/SIDE processing in mixing and mastering have been discovered, allowing separate creative control over the central and lateral signals of a stereo track. LAT VERT is the equivalent of MID\/SIDE and, when used correctly, offers control to make tracks wider, deeper, and more focused. The last option is LAT VERT LINK, designed for MID\/SIDE processing with the two channels linked and controlled by the average of the settings. • Input Impedance: 2 kΩ • Output Impedance: 600 Ω • Output Level: +30 dBu clipping point • Frequency Response: 20 Hz - 20 kHz ± 1 dB • Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 120 dB • Self Noise: less than -82 dBu • Harmonic Distortion: less than 1% at any level up to +18 dBu output (without limiting) • Power: \u0026gt;200 W • Dimensions (W × H × D): 482 × 265 mm (6 rack units) × 200 mm • Weight: 13.3 kg","brand":"HERITAGE AUDIO","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53994437902669,"sku":"HER670","price":10537.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0972\/0643\/6173\/files\/217950-large_default.jpg?v=1779956364","url":"https:\/\/musicdelivery.net\/en\/products\/heritage-audio-herchild-model-670-tube-com","provider":"Music Delivery","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
