The 25-key model can be connected directly to the iPad via Apple's Camera Connection Kit, to play various music applications that support MIDI control (Core MIDI), such as Korg's iMS-20. For the 37 and 61-key models, however, a powered USB hub is required when playing MIDI Apps on the iPad.
