This option is particularly useful for instruments with high low-frequency content, such as bass, drums, drum groups, or the entire mix. The BAND SPLIT option divides the signal band into two frequency ranges. This solution allows only the low frequencies, below the split point, to be saturated. The high frequencies above the split point are mixed with the saturated signal in an unaltered form. This option is perfect for \"thickening\" the sound of instruments without audible saturation of high frequencies. There are three split point frequencies to choose from: 800Hz, 2kHz, and 6kHz.
