Just like the drivers, the MMD™ (Mathematically Modeled Dispersion™) waveguide is designed for maximum precision. The precisely horizontally distributed sound ensures flexibility in listening position; the narrower vertical dispersion reduces the negative effects of nearby reflections, such as from a desk or mixing console. The dispersion of the NEUMANN KH 420 A G is intentionally designed to be narrower, to ensure reference sound at longer working distances.\u003cbr\u003eThe NEUMANN KH 420 A G is designed for midfield applications and as a main monitor in project, music, broadcast, and post-production studios for recording, mixing, and mastering. And in a multi-channel system, it can also be freely combined with all other Neumann studio monitors.\u003cbr\u003eWith its tri-channel amplifiers, the NEUMANN KH 420 A G unleashes sound pressure up to 122.4 dB. In doing so, it maintains a high-resolution and neutral representation across the entire frequency response. This also includes exceptional bass response down to 26 Hz. Despite the use of ports, there is no audible \"boom\" or resonance in the low-frequency range. And the transient response is precisely controlled at all times.\u003cbr\u003eThe computer-modeled chassis is constructed with LRIM™ materials, which eliminates standing wave resonances and suppresses intermodulation distortion, especially in the midrange.\u003cbr\u003eFor demanding highs, our specially developed special fabric dome ensures distortion-free reproduction. The fabric dome captures the midrange with maximum precision. Its ultra-light material and powerful neodymium magnet allow for significantly better transient response with significantly lower distortion compared to common midrange drivers.\u003cbr\u003eThe DIM 1 digital input module expands the speaker electronics with a digital XLR input, a digital BNC input, and a digital BNC output (192 kHz\/24 bit) for flexible digital signal connections. With the delay function (adjustment range 0 - 400 ms) of the DIM 1, the audio signal can be delayed to ensure audio-visual synchronization (lip-sync).
