It includes creative Chord, Scale, and arpeggiator generation modes with a step editor. High-intelligibility OLED display.
Demo video by Luca Minelli (Synth Café)
Your inspiration will travel everywhere with Launchkey 37, a portable and comprehensive DAW software controller featuring a three-octave synth-action keyboard and 16 patented FRS pads for finger drumming, clip launching, and much more. The new generation of Launchkey also provides new tools for creating music in your favorite music production software on PC and Mac computers, on iPhone and iPad, or for remote control of your hardware synthesizers. The Chord, Scale, and Arpeggiator modes have been expanded to help you stay consistent with your project's scale and perform even more expressively – with detailed visual feedback on the new, crisp OLED screen.
GForce Bass Station Plug-in Free!
The definitive virtual version of the classic 90s mono-synth with a host of new features: 16 voices, over 300 presets, an integrated arpeggiator and sequencer, effects, and much more. GForce Bass Station offers enormous versatility and creative potential. Available as a standalone application on Mac and PC, it supports AU, AAX, VST, and VST3 formats.
Improved DAW Integration
Launchkey supports all popular DAW software right out of the box, with seamless and customizable integration for: Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, Reason Studios, Reaper, FL Studios, and Ardour. With these software, you get a hardware-based workflow that gives you full control over transport functions, timeline navigation, mixing and equalization, clip launching, and effect and instrument parameters. And when using Ableton Live's Session View or Logic's Live Loops, the 16 drum pads also act as Launchpad-style clip launch buttons, with RGB backlighting that perfectly matches what you see on screen.
More Powerful Creative Tools
Launchkey 37's creative tools are built into the hardware itself – so they work the same way in your DAW, with hardware synthesizers, or with mobile devices. Scale modes now allow you to lock your keyboard to a choice of 30 different scales, so you can eliminate wrong notes or map everything only to the white keys. Fixed Chord mode lets you play a full chord from a single key; the new Chord Maps mode, however, goes beyond this, allowing you to create emotionally charged progressions from the Launchkey's pads. And in this latest iteration of our beloved arpeggiator, it's easier than ever to distort and mutate sequences for endless inspiration.
Extremely Responsive and Expressive FSR Pads
For finger drumming, Launchkey now features our patented FSR drum pads, which are velocity-sensitive and include polyphonic aftertouch. Unlike traditional pads, each has a unique radial sensor that increases sensitivity and improves consistency for even more precise performances. In addition, they can also be set to trigger chords or individual notes with polyphonic aftertouch.
New Custom Modes
Launchkey's controls are not limited by default assignments; simply load the free Components software in your browser and configure them to work exactly as you want, with your software or hardware. Up to four custom mappings can be stored for both the Launchkey's pads and encoders and recalled instantly from the hardware to send chosen notes, MIDI CCs, or program changes.
Not Just for Computers with Launchkey MK4
Thanks to the Launchkey 37's 5-pin DIN MIDI output, it's easy to connect hardware synthesizers via an adapter without needing a DAW. Along with Components and custom mappings, you can control all the most important features directly from the keyboard. Additionally, Launchkey requires no additional drivers, so it is fully compatible with countless apps used to create music on iPhone and iPad – including the free Novation Launchpad app.
Everything You Need to Create
The Launchkey 37 keyboard controller with pads includes everything you need to start creating music right away. The included DAW, Ableton Live 12 Lite, allows you to record and perform with up to eight MIDI or audio tracks, in addition to a range of instruments, effects, and creative tools, and works perfectly with Launchkey. Plus, you also get a selection of professional-grade additional effects and sounds from Novation and Focusrite.
Novation Launchkey 37 MK4 Features
37 full-size synth-action keys
OLED display
16 RGB backlit pads
Velocity-sensitive pads with polyphonic aftertouch (proprietary FSR technology)
Buttons: Scene/Function Launch
Pitch bend and modulation wheels
8 x 360° encoders
2 buttons for encoder banks
Buttons: Capture MIDI, Undo, Quantize, Metronome
Buttons: Scale/Map, Chord, Arp, Fixed Chord, Settings, and Shift
Octave transpose buttons
Transport buttons: Play, Stop, Record, and Loop
Track navigation buttons
USB-C port
5-pin DIN MIDI output
1/4" jack for sustain pedal
Kensington Security Slot
Dimensions and weight: 557x251x79; 2.18KG
Included in the Novation 37 MK4 package
Launchkey 37 MK4
USB-A to USB-C cable
*The entire software bundle included with Novation Launchkey 37 MK4
Ableton Live 12 Lite
Oberheim SEM
Oberheim OB-E
M-TRON PRO I
GForce AXXESS
Delicate Piano (Orchestral Tools)
Flautando Strings (Orchestral Tools)
Percussion FX (Orchestral Tools)
Shadowy (Orchestral Tools)
Paradox Texture (Orchestral Tools)
Woodwind Parallax (Orchestral Tools)
Klevgrand LUXE
Klevgrand’s R0Verb
Klevgrand Slammer
Custom sessions with Melodics
For more information on the included software: click here
To get the software included with NOVATION Launchkey MK4:
Create an account and register the instrument on the Novation website (click here)
*NB: The included software applications are provided free of charge for promotional purposes and may vary over time without notice.
