Developed by Audinate®, the Dante protocol has become the standard for digital audio distribution in professional audio. Using standard Ethernet networks, any connected Dante device can communicate and route audio with very low latency. The \u003cstrong\u003eDAN-TX\u003c\/strong\u003e provides a simple way to insert almost any analog audio source onto the Dante network without the need for large interfaces or mixers.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe DAN-TX\u003c\/strong\u003e features ¼\", RCA, and 3.5mm inputs. When connecting an instrument to a single channel, such as a bass or acoustic guitar, an Instrument switch converts one of the ¼\" jacks to \"Thru\". This allows the musician to connect to their amplifier for local monitoring, just like with a classic DI Box. For stereo sources, input selection provides a simple way to connect any device, whether it's a stereo keyboard or a tablet. The ¼\" inputs accept balanced (TRS) signals for professional equipment and unbalanced (TS) connectors for instruments or consumer devices. Levels can be controlled locally with a +\/-10dB input Trim, with an additional 20dB available if needed. The \u003cstrong\u003eDAN-TX\u003c\/strong\u003e can accept input levels up to +24dBU; a high-pass filter can also be activated to reduce unwanted low frequencies present in the source signal.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe DAN-TX\u003c\/strong\u003e features 24-bit\/96kHz analog-to-digital converters for excellent audio quality. Connecting to the Dante network is simple – just connect the Ethernet jack to any networked audio system using a standard Cat5e or Cat6 cable. The \u003cstrong\u003eDAN-TX\u003c\/strong\u003e will accept Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), but a power supply is also included for use when PoE is not available. Once connected, the \u003cstrong\u003eDAN-TX\u003c\/strong\u003e will appear as a 2-channel transmit device in Dante Controller software and on other network-enabled devices.
