FEATURES
The hd P12sti is a compact yet very powerful subwoofer for fixed installations. Its original 12″ high-excursion driver with a 3″ voice coil, plastic suspension, and ferrite magnet ensure optimal heat dissipation, thereby increasing reliability. This driver guarantees excellent reproduction of bass transients and dynamics. Despite its compact size, it also develops incredible pressure. The built-in electronics provide a high-end DSP with a FIR filter and three 500 W Class D power amplifiers; two amplifiers are dedicated to passive loudspeakers. The frequency range extends down to 40 Hz, and the system's lower range headroom and dynamic behavior are significantly and very efficiently extended. The electronic section includes the hd MultiDSP open architecture platform, which ensures perfect control over all system components via the simple Windows-based hd LevelZ remote software. This new DSP platform now enables all the processing and control functions of large sound systems in an intuitive plug-and-play app that provides 20 user presets in addition to 20 factory presets. Furthermore, using this sub, satellite speakers are relieved of the demanding work of lower frequencies. Above the hd P12sti, there is an M20 threaded insert for a pole. The cabinet is made of birch plywood and coated with shockproof and scratch-resistant textured paint. The front of the speaker is protected by a metal grille with acoustic foam.
