LED Efficiency, Control, and Scenic Versatility for Rome's Teatro Verde

  The Teatro Verde is one of Rome's most active and long-standing cultural institutions, offering a continuous program ranging from live theatre to puppet theatre (puppets, marionettes, shadows), concerts, and workshops. The variety of productions required an extremely flexible equipment fleet and a fast, intuitive, and powerful control console. The main objectives were to reduce energy consumption and heat on stage, ensure maximum signal reliability, and simplify the management of color, intensity, and shaping parameters. Technical Challenges & Integration Choices Intuitive and Fast Control: Equipping the control booth with a modern lighting console capable of managing traditional warm white projectors, motorized/multicolor LED fixtures, and dimmer packs. Precise Shaping: Allowing for sharp cuts and concentrated beams for both the main proscenium and close-up lighting dedicated to puppet theatre. Theatrical Homogeneity and Flexibility: Utilizing wide-range Fresnel projectors for impeccable stage washes and cyclorama bars for uniform and immersive backdrops. 🔹 Control & Operation: ETC & Eurolite ETC ColorSource 20: Compact professional lighting console with touchscreen and dedicated faders. It allows for advanced color parameter control (immediate color picking), fast management of DMX/RDM channels, and storage of complex cue lists for various guest companies.
