Adam Audio A8H-B Right Side
Estimated delivery in Italy between 19 and 21 October
The ADAM Audio A8H-B Side Right is a 3-way powered midfield studio monitor—presented here in the version to be positioned on the right—designed for medium to large studios, mixing, mastering, and critical listening. It features an 8” MLM woofer, a 3.5” DCH midrange driver, an X-ART tweeter with a rotatable HPS waveguide, 340 W of peak amplification, a frequency response from 31Hz to 45kHz, a front-facing bass reflex port, 96kHz DSP, A Control via Ethernet, SoundID Reference, and XLR/RCA inputs.
At the top of the A Series
The ADAM Audio A8H-B Side Right (to be positioned on the right) is the flagship model of the A Series for medium to large environments and applications requiring an analytical and highly extended representation of the audio program. The 3-way system combines an 8" MLM woofer, a 3.5" DCH midrange, and the X-ART tweeter, with a response reaching 31 Hz at -6 dB and extending up to 45 kHz.
Three transducers, three optimized bands
The 8" woofer uses MLM material to maintain rigidity and control even at the excursions required by lower frequencies. The 3.5" DCH midrange handles the band between the 400 Hz and 3 kHz crossovers, freeing the woofer and tweeter from a significant portion of the spectrum. The X-ART tweeter, handmade in Germany, completes the system with a fast and detailed response in the high frequencies.
HPS waveguide and Left/Right versions
The rotatable HPS waveguide controls the tweeter's dispersion with a 120° opening on the horizontal plane and 70° on the vertical. This version of the ADAM AUDIO A8H is the "B Side-Right," designed to form a mirror-imaged pair with the "A Side Left." The manual allows for the possibility of using either version as a center channel by aligning the acoustic axis at 0° relative to the listening position.
340 W peak, DSP, and remote control
The amplification section provides 250 W peak for the woofer, 70 W for the midrange, and 20 W for the tweeter, for a total of 340 W peak. The internal DSP operates at 96 kHz and integrates Room Adaptation, Pure and UNR voicing, protection, and system management. Via Ethernet and A Control, it is possible to adjust in real-time the six-band advanced equalization, level, delay, and configuration of multiple monitors.
SoundID Reference, connections, and installation
A Control allows for loading correction filters generated by Sonarworks SoundID Reference directly into the A8H's DSP, keeping the profile active within the monitor. Connectivity includes balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA, and RJ45; the cabinet features a front-facing bass reflex port and four M8 threaded inserts on the bottom for compatible mounting solutions. The dimensions are 274 x 382 x 329 mm (H x W x D) and the weight is 13.6 kg.
Who it is designed for and when to choose it
The A8H is the A Series choice for those seeking maximum extension, band separation, and the ability to work in medium-to-large environments. The Left and Right versions allow for correct stereo geometry, while the 8” woofer and 3-way configuration also make it suitable for particularly demanding mix and mastering sessions.
