The ADAM Audio S2V is a 2-way powered nearfield studio monitor from the reference series for professional recording, mixing, mastering, and post-production, featuring a 7” ELE HexaCone woofer, a hand-built S-ART tweeter with an HPS waveguide, 300 W Class D amplification for the woofer and 50 W Class A/B amplification for the tweeter, a frequency response from 35Hz to 50kHz (-20dB), a DSP with 6 parametric EQs, Room Compensation filters, 5 preset memories and delay, and both balanced XLR analog and AES3 digital inputs.
The S-Series nearfield
The ADAM Audio S2V is the nearfield model in the S-Series, the reference range developed for professional audio production. The 2-way active system pairs a 7" ELE woofer with a HexaCone membrane with the S-ART tweeter, combining an extended response from 35 Hz to 50 kHz with a maximum peak of at least 120 dB SPL at 1 meter per pair.

The 182 mm woofer utilizes a 39 mm voice coil and a HexaCone membrane, while the S-ART tweeter employs the folded-membrane principle developed by ADAM Audio, featuring a 4:1 transformation ratio and a radiating area equivalent to a 56 mm dome. The two-way configuration adopts a 3 kHz crossover frequency and aims for transparent, dynamic, and non-fatiguing reproduction.
350 W of dedicated amplification
The power section consists of a 300 W Class D amplifier for the woofer and a 50 W Class A/B amplifier for the tweeter. Each transducer therefore has its own dedicated amplification, for a total power of 350 W and precise management of the two frequency bands.
DSP, presets, and response correction
The internal DSP allows you to adjust the monitor's behavior directly from the OLED display and rear encoder. Pure and UNR presets, three user memories, six fully parametric equalizers, shelving filters for high and low frequencies, output level adjustment, and delay of up to 5 ms are available. Settings can be stored in the monitor to adapt the system to the room and listening preferences.
Analog, AES3, and computer control
The S2V can receive both a balanced analog signal via XLR and AES3 digital audio. The AES3 Thru output allows the signal to be distributed to multiple monitors, while the USB port is provided for updates and settings via computer. The vertical cabinet measures 346 x 222 x 338 mm and weighs 11 kg. The model also integrates dedicated mounting points and is compatible with original ADAM Audio accessories for wall or ceiling installation, as well as an optional protective grille.
Who it is designed for and when to choose it
The S2V concentrates the S-Series reference philosophy into a nearfield format: it is recommended when high precision, rigorous imaging, and extensive DSP calibration options are required at close listening distances. It is suitable for recording, mixing, mastering, post-production, and professional control rooms where space does not allow for a midfield system.
