The AEA NUVO N22 is a near-field ribbon microphone with a lightweight, robust design, enhanced top-end clarity, and reduced proximity effect, making it perfect for close-miking instruments.
It offers clarity and balanced frequency response, even when placed a few inches from the source, and can stand alone in a mix without the need to blend additional microphone signals thanks to its wide extension.
The AEA NUVO N22 can be placed a few inches from an instrument and maintain a balanced sound with an extended top end, avoiding room tone that can cause problems in smaller spaces or iso booths.
It features a high-frequency bump at 3kHz, making it ideal for recording vocals, electric guitars, bass amps, kick drums, acoustic guitars, and percussion.
