The Akai Professional APC40 MKII Midi controller is the second edition of the historic APC 40 created in 2009 together with the producers of the now established software for producers Ableton Live. Immediately, this performance pad with advanced controls raised the standard, making external hardware integration with musical programs perfect and making the performance of this instrument among the best on the market, which is why it was chosen by the most important producers worldwide.

The new APC 40 MKII version has been completely redesigned thanks to feedback received from users over 5 years. The product specifications have remained constant, but the functions and design have been improved, which this time features a brand new grid of performance pads with RGB LEDs, even more robust faders, a very modern encoder layout, and much more.

The APC40 MKII features a grid with 40 pads equipped with backlit RGB LEDs arranged in a 5x8 section and allows you to select the clip status in 3 stages: loaded, playing, and recording. This specification makes live performance even easier, allowing you to set up your work even without looking at the Ableton Live screen.

The design of the Akai APC40Mkii midi controller features 9 reinforced faders and 8 encoders, one for each channel, which allow you to manage clips even more smoothly and functionally. In the Master section there are still many new features: another 8 digital knobs to have all the control and tweak parameters at hand, a completely redesigned crossfader, which allows you to perform an A/B switch by assigning different channels without having to use the mouse and directional arrows for selecting banks and devices.

The Apc40 mkii is pre-mapped for Ableton Live production software, version 9.1.3 or later, so no setup or configuration of the software will be needed and you can start playing immediately. The APC40 mk2 controller is completely plug-n-play, powered only by the USB port without additional power supplies, thus making assembly/disassembly even easier, especially in live shows, DJ sets or performances of any kind.

Included in the new AKAI APC40MK2 package is a version of the Ableton Live Lite music production software, 5 Prime Loops loop packs and 5 Toolroom packs, over 200 Puremagnetik effects and 2 virtual synths, the Sonivox Twist and Hybrid 3.
