The Akai MPC X is a standalone console equipped with a 10.1" multi-touch screen, 16 pressure-sensitive RGB pads, 16 touch-sensitive 360° backlit Qlink encoders each with an OLED display, 16 GB of internal memory, and 2 USB ports for connecting external MIDI controllers. All these features make the machine completely independent, entirely eliminating the need for a computer. Akai Professional was one of the first brands to revolutionize the world of electronic music with its MPC series products. Music Production Centers have gone down in history for the innovation they brought to this type of equipment, both for their design, workflow, and advanced functions that many other brands have tried to replicate over the years. With this product, they are once again revolutionizing the market, confirming their leadership among producers. The native MPC 2.0 software allows the Akai MPC X to be transformed into a true MIDI controller. This way, you won't have to give up your favorite VST plug-ins already present in your DAW. The new 2.0 version of the MPC software introduces, in addition to a completely redesigned graphic interface, many new features including audio track recording, time warp, additional Qlink controls, and both audio and MIDI Drag & Drop editing capabilities. The MPC X series Music Production Center comes with a 10 GB library of world-renowned samples such as Sound Design Capsun Audio, MVP Loops, and CR2 Records. You can integrate additional sounds by connecting an external SSD or HHD hard drive (not included) to the 2.5" SATA port, or also via SD card and USB port, and you can record directly onto all these media. For connecting external equipment, CV/Gate outputs for synthesizers and drum machines are available on-board, as well as 2 RCA inputs with RIAA preamplifiers that ensure the optimal level for turntable input signals.
