The 16 pads, spread across 8 banks, are velocity-sensitive to ensure maximum expressiveness whether you're playing dynamically rich melodies or aggressive kick drums. The multi-color (RGB) backlighting provides useful visual feedback for understanding velocity values and any grouping or pad mode. With the exceptional Pad Perform function of the MPC software, you can quickly switch from playing melodies in Note mode to harmonic progressions in Chord mode: maximum versatility to adapt to your creative flow.
Assignable Touch Strip Control: massive expressiveness
Manipulate and adapt the sound to your needs in real time via the 140mm assignable Touch Strip. The acclaimed Akai Professional MPC2 software works in perfect synergy with the MPC Studio USB MIDI controller for an immediate and complete beat making and music production experience. This DAW software combines a 128-track sequencer, real-time time stretching, advanced MIDI editing, VST compatibility, and a rich set of effects for creating and finalizing tracks and entire songs up to mastering. MPC2 software includes AIR Vocal Suite, a set of plug-ins for recording and producing state-of-the-art vocal parts, which includes automatic pitch correction, chorus, and harmonizer. In terms of integrated virtual instruments, we find excellent instruments with a rich set of presets and parameters to meet any sound need and musical genre: AIR Hype, AIR Mellotron, AIR Solina, WayOutWare Odyssey, and others. Many insert effects developed by AIR Music Tech are available in this DAW software, including a Limiter optimized for professional Mastering.
