88-channel MIDI Keyboard
The MPK Road 88 is a USB MIDI master keyboard with a 7-octave (88 keys, A to C) graded hammer-action keyboard, velocity and aftertouch sensitive, based on Akai Professional's exclusive Model-A keybed. This keyboard, designed for professional stage use, is equipped with a computer audio interface for PC and Mac with 2 stereo outputs and is integrated into a rigid transport case. The Model-A keybed used in this instrument is the result of two years of research and development by the American company's engineers, designed to guarantee the keyboardist a natural response difficult to obtain in other products in the same price range.
There are also two wheels dedicated to pitch bend and modulation control, a rotary potentiometer volume control, and function keys for transpose and A/B split, allowing you to configure the instrument according to your performance needs. In terms of connections, there are 3 pedal inputs compatible with on/off and variable pedals - two expression and one sustain β MIDI IN and OUT ports on standard 5-pin DIN connectors, and a Class Compliant USB 2.0 type "B" port for audio and MIDI interfacing with PC and Mac computers. Thanks to this USB port and the audio interface with 4 separate outputs (2 stereo: Main - balanced - and Aux) on ΒΌβ jack connectors, using your DAW software, Virtual Instruments, or other musical applications will be practically immediate, without having to resort to numerous cables and complex setups.
The Akai Professional MPK Road 88 is integrated into a rigid vintage-style transport case, which does not require the instrument to be removed for use, as thanks to the convenient interlocking hinges you can simply remove the lid and start playing immediately. A handle facilitates transport.
