Parameters of DAW software effects or plugins can be physically controlled by the 8 assignable 360° rotary encoders: control filters, record automations, volume, pan, and much more. For the first time on an MPK Mini, dedicated transport controls are available for total integration with your DAW software. Say goodbye to keyboard and mouse control thanks to the dedicated Play, Stop, Record, Loop, and Locator buttons.

The 37 keys of the keyboard utilize the new second-generation Dynamic Keybed. 3 full octaves allow for two-handed playing, enabling chord composition, arpeggio articulation, playing synth solos, and richer pads. The keyboard offers excellent playability and a wider dynamic response (velocity sensitivity). The MPK Mini Plus also includes dedicated controls to manage essential parameters for better expressiveness, such as the Pitch Bend and Modulation wheels, in addition to the iconic Joystick Controller typical of the MPKmini series. The free MPC Beats DAW software for Mac and PC (available via download) offers the iconic workflow of the historic MPC series directly on your desktop or laptop computer and includes thousands of sounds including drum samples, loops, and plugin instruments to create your music productions. MPK mini Plus Editor is the software that allows you to program in detail the MIDI messages transmissible by the various physical controls of the keyboard and the two integrated sequencer tracks, the Key and Drum tracks. The very simple and intuitive interface allows for importing and exporting configurations to and from the keyboard.

AKAI Professional MPK mini PLUS is a controller that generates and sends MIDI messages via USB for controlling software, applications, or musical hardware compatible with the universal MIDI standard. It does not have internal sounds and works exclusively by sending control messages that will be translated by your software or musical hardware into sound, which will then output from your audio interface on your computer or from the audio outputs of your synthesizer. The instrument therefore does not have an audio output.
