Alesis Q MINI

Alesis QMINI is a compact USB MIDI keyboard, with 32 velocity-sensitive mini synth-action keys, that puts everything you need to play your favorite virtual instruments on PC and Mac computers and music apps on iOS devices at your fingertips.

The keyboard features 32 small keys and is powered directly via USB. It doesn't require any drivers to function as it is class-compliant and includes a rich set of free software (via download). On the left side, you'll find various controls to unleash your expressiveness: from buttons for managing pitch bend and modulation to those for octave transposition and an assignable rotary potentiometer for transmitting MIDI Control Change messages, which by default is configured to manage the volume parameter.

ESSENTIAL CONTROLS OF THE ALESIS QMINI

The Alesis QMINI provides you with the essential controls to help you manage music software applications. Interact with the buttons in pitch bend mode to "humanize" wind or string instruments, or to add a touch of personality to a synth solo, or use them in modulation mode to manage the filter cutoff or other modulable parameters depending on the virtual instrument you're playing. Do you need to extend the tail of a note, leave it hanging, or play your pianos more realistically? Use the Sustain button! Do you want more control? The rotary potentiometer for volume control is actually freely assignable to any Control Change message via key combinations. From the Alesis QMINI, you can also transmit Program and Bank Change messages using the advanced configuration functions illustrated in the included manual (which includes Italian) to scroll through and change presets in your software that support this control standard. If necessary, using advanced combinations, you can also transpose the keyboard in semitone steps.

When you purchase an Alesis QMINI USB MIDI keyboard, you are entitled to a rich set of software for playing and producing music on your computer. The DAW software Pro Tools (in the First Alesis Edition) and MPC Beats are ideal for recording and composing your tracks as they come with numerous tools, functions, virtual instruments, and effects. The virtual instruments include Vacuum, BOOM, DB-33, and Xpand!2. For those who want to improve their keyboard technique or learn to play the keyboard, the QMINI comes with 60 free lessons produced by the renowned learning system Melodics.

Pro Tools - First Alesis Edition

This audio and MIDI music recording and production software is an excellent solution for artists, musicians, singers, and songwriters who want to create and share their music. Avid Pro Tools First Alesis Edition offers the user unlimited buses, functions such as Elastic Time and Elastic Pitch, and offline bounce.

THE MPC BEATS DAW SOFTWARE

A complete working environment, with projects that can host 2 stereo audio tracks and 8 MIDI/instrument tracks, a 2GB sound collection, 3 virtual instrument plug-ins, and a substantial library of 80 effect plug-ins for mixing and mastering developed by Air Music Technology and AKAI Pro. IMPORTANT

Alesis QMINI is a USB keyboard controller that generates and sends MIDI messages useful for controlling software, applications, or musical hardware compatible with the universal MIDI standard. It does not have internal sounds and functions exclusively by sending control messages that will be translated by your software or music app into sound, which will then output from your audio interface. The keyboard does not have an audio output.

How do I get the Software for my Alesis QMINI?

To get the free software, you will need to log in (click here) or create an account on the ALESIS website (click here), and then register the instrument you purchased (click here) by selecting the model and entering the serial number found on the barcode (usually under the instrument) and the purchase date. Once your instrument is successfully registered, in the "My Product" section of the ALESIS website you will find instructions, download links, and more to obtain the accompanying software.

The software provided and/or available for download is offered free of charge and does not include technical or commercial support. Alesis and the Italian distributor Algam EKO are solely responsible for the hardware instrument (keyboard) they produce and distribute and cannot provide assistance for the software.
