Alesis Q49MKII MIDI KEYBOARD

The Alesis Q49 MKII is a 49-key (4-octave) velocity-sensitive synth-action USB MIDI keyboard.

It puts everything you need to play your favorite virtual instruments on PC and Mac computers and music apps on iOS devices at your fingertips. The keyboard features full-size keys, is powered directly via USB, requires no drivers as it is class-compliant, and includes a rich set of free software (via download). On the left side, it has various controls for expressive play: from pitch bend and modulation wheels to transpose buttons for both semitones and octaves, transport buttons for DAW software control, and an assignable slider to transmit MIDI Control Change messages, which by default is configured to manage the volume parameter. In addition to the power switch and a B-type USB port for power and MIDI data transmission, a sustain pedal input is located on the rear panel.

ESSENTIAL CONTROLS OF THE ALESIS Q49MKII

The Alesis Q49 MKII provides essential controls to help you interact with music software applications. It interacts with the pitch bend to "humanize" wind or string instruments, or to add a touch of personality to a synth solo; the modulation wheel to control the filter cutoff or other modulable parameters depending on the virtual instrument being played. If the user needs to extend the tail of a note, let it sustain, or play pianos more realistically, simply connect a sustain pedal (NOT included). With the STOP, PLAY, RECORD buttons and direction controls, essential DAW software functions can be managed without taking hands off the Q49 MKII. Further control? The volume fader is freely assignable to any Control Change message via key combinations. The Alesis Q49MKII can also transmit Program and Bank Change messages using the advanced configuration functions illustrated in the included manual (includes Italian language) to scroll through and change presets in software that supports this control standard.
