ALESIS STRATA PRIME ELECTRONIC DRUM KIT WITH MESH HEADS
Estimated delivery in Italy between 16 and 18 June
The Alesis Strata Prime Kit is an electronic drum set consisting of six drums with dual-zone mesh heads, three triple-zone ARC cymbals, and a 14" ultra-responsive magnetic sensor hi-hat.
The new "Prime" module, powered by the BFD3 sound engine, controls the drum kit via a 10.1” touchscreen panel, 128 GB of built-in memory, 40 GB of preloaded content, 75 drum kits, and over 440 customizable samples with 1092 sound articulations.
Drumkit
The Strata Prime consists of six drums with mesh heads: 14" dual-zone snare drum, with independent sounds triggered on the head, rimstick, and rimshot. 8", 10", 12", 14" dual-zone toms. 20" bass drum providing a comfortable playing surface suitable for all varieties of single and double bass drum pedals on the market. The tension of the heads can be adjusted on all six drums thanks to a standard acoustic drum tension rod system, so you can set any level of rebound and sensitivity according to the drummer's preferences. Hotspots on the heads are eliminated by Alesis' unique patented anti-hotspot sensor.
Cymbals
The Strata Prime's ARC cymbals are extremely sensitive with a finely lathed surface. All three cymbals, the 18" ride and the two 16" crashes, are triple-zone, with different sounds triggered on the bell, bow, and edge of each cymbal. They are all 360-degree playable and mount on standard acoustic cymbal stands, allowing for natural sway and playability. The crash, ride, and hi-hat cymbals feature dual-edge sensors and profiles that allow for incredible expressiveness without having to change technique.
Hi-hat
The 14" hi-hat is the world's first Active Magnetic controller mounted on a standard hi-hat stand. As with the cymbals, it has a 360-degree playable, triple-zone surface that is extremely sensitive. Magnetic position sensing ensures that pedal movements are translated with ultra-high accuracy and responsiveness. The controller can be used with a wide variety of hi-hat stands and playing techniques. Its active technology is powered and controlled directly by the Prime Drum module and no additional power supply is required.
Module
The Prime Drum Module is undoubtedly the most technologically advanced drum module ever made. The beating heart of this drum kit is the legendary BFD3 sound engine controlled by a 10.1" touchscreen panel that offers intuitive navigation, editing, kit mixing, and sound recording at the level of the world's most important studios, previously available or workable only on computers, externally from the drum set itself. The touchscreen allows for the processing of all parameters at your fingertips, so you can effortlessly and easily recall and adjust every component of the kit, sounds, effects, and utilities. There are also six knobs for quick scrolling and detailed control, as well as a main push encoder, transport controls, and dedicated volume knobs for the main, headphone, and aux outputs. Below the touchscreen pad, there is a powerful multi-core processor that loads large multi-sampled kits in seconds and allows the drummer to customize kits with over 1092 articulations, microphone systems, and effects. Although the Strata Prime is perfectly playable out of the box, the new trigger engine is customizable, with several tools to adapt the kit to specific preferences, including instant crosstalk calibration.
Hardware
The Strata Prime's support structure is a double-braced steel rack on which toms, cymbals, and the module can be mounted. It is extremely robust and at the same time adjustable, allowing for spacious or more compact configurations so that the kit can be adjusted to the position the drummer desires most. The kit has been designed to integrate with standard acoustic drum hardware so that the drummer can bring the pedals they are used to playing with. The hi-hat controller is compatible with any acoustic hi-hat stand, the bass drum can accommodate any single or double bass drum pedal, and all cymbals can also be mounted on conventional cymbal stands (for optional additional cymbals). N.B: hi-hat stand and bass drum pedal sold separately.
Sounds
The multi-core processor powers the legendary BFD3 sound engine. This is a massive library of drum kits sampled by the best sound engineers in some of the most sought-after and unique recording studios in the world. With over 40 GB of content, 75 kits, more than 440 drum kit pieces, over 1,000 sound articulations, and more than 215,000 individual samples, you can create endless mixes, apply effects to individual pieces of each kit, groups, and even individual microphones. Strata Prime has 40 playable zones, trigger zones to which multiple sounds can be assigned: a main sound plus three additional "Layers" per zone. You can layer multiple sounds and create a mashup of completely different sound combinations, for example by adding a tambourine and a cowbell to the rim of your snare drum. In addition to the 75 factory kits, Strata Prime includes four sound libraries: “Alesis Prime Acoustic”; a huge collection of drum sounds recorded at Powerstation Studios in New England; “BFD Dark Farm”; an expansion pack entirely geared towards the Metal genre from the BFD team; “Alesis Prime Electronic”; the best of the Alesis Strike Multipad electronic drum one-shot sounds, ideal for layering different acoustic drum samples; “BFD Percussion”, a diverse collection of percussion sounds from BFD's classic percussion packs. Subscriptions Included with Alesis Strata Prime: Drumeo for 90 days. Melodics Premium with 60 exclusive lessons for 30 days. BFD Player desktop app with virtual drum expansion pack
