The ALESIS V49 MKII is a USB MIDI controller with a 49-key full-size synth-action keyboard, 8 velocity-sensitive pads, 4 assignable rotary potentiometers, pitch bend and modulation wheels, a sustain pedal input, powered via USB and compatible with PC, Mac and iOS devices. A programmable arpeggiator on the keyboard, Note Repeat and Full Level functions on the Pads ensure maximum fun and excellent expressiveness.
The 8 LED-backlit pads respond expressively to touch, perfect for finger drumming performances, playing virtual percussion and drum instruments, or launching clips and loops in your DAW software. The pads feature Note Repeat and Full Level functions derived from AKAI Professional's MPCs (a brand that, like Alesis, is part of the InMusic family). The arpeggiator integrated into the ALESIS V49 MKII offers 6 operating modes: Up, Down, Inclusive, Exclusive, Order, and Random. It is customizable by varying parameters such as time division, gate, octaves, and swing, and can be synchronized to BPM using the Tap Tempo button or directly via MIDI Clock to the corresponding message received via USB from your DAW software.
The ALESIS V49 MKII features 4 freely assignable rotary potentiometers via the Software Editor to specific MIDI Control Change messages, or directly mappable using the MIDI Learn function integrated into your software.
By registering the ALESIS V49 MKII on the Alesis website, you can access and download the MPC Beats software, perfect for starting to produce music. MPC Beats is feature-rich software for quickly producing your musical bases. In addition, you will find a rich set of accompanying sounds, thanks to the 7 MPC Beats Expansion Packs that cover a wide range of musical genres.
Together with the ALESIS V49 MKII, 60 free lessons in Melodics software are provided. For those seeking maximum control customization, a dedicated Software Editor is available, where you can configure the various MIDI messages transmissible from each physical control and adapt the dynamic response of the pads and keys of the USB keyboard as desired.
