Alesis VI49: MIDI/USB keyboard with 49 keys (4 octaves), 16 pads, 12 potentiometers, and 36 buttons.
The VI series USB MIDI keyboards by Alesis feature a semi-weighted keyboard with velocity and aftertouch sensitivity, and are equipped with 16 multi-colored (RGB) backlit pads, also sensitive to pressure (aftertouch) and dynamics (velocity). Other controls include octave transpose buttons, pitch bend and modulation wheels, 6 transport control buttons for DAWs, and a jack for connecting an optional sustain pedal (not included). The VI series keyboards feature numerous rotary MIDI potentiometers, each accompanied by 3 buttons that send MIDI protocol messages. In addition to the USB port, which serves as both MIDI connection and power when connected to PC and Apple computers and latest-generation iOS devices, the rear panel of the Alesis VI series keyboards features a DIN MIDI output and a jack for an optional power supply for standalone use, useful when controlling synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, and hardware MIDI expanders.
NB: Alesis V & VI series keyboards generate and send MIDI messages used to control software, applications, or musical hardware compatible with the universal MIDI standard. They do not have internal sounds and function by sending control messages only when connected to a sound generator. The included software (Ableton™ Live Lite Alesis Edition and a MIDI editor software for programming transmittable MIDI messages from hardware controls) is provided free of charge and does not include technical or commercial support.
