Cat5e Expansion Module
The ALLEN & HEATH DX-168 is a Cat5e expansion module with 16 XLR inputs and 8 XLR 96kHz outputs for adding remote I/O to a dLive, Avantis or SQ system.
The ALLEN & HEATH DX-168 features 16 mic preamps with independent Phantom Power LED indicators, plus 8 XLR outputs and connects via a single Cat5e cable to a dLive Surface, MixRack, SQ mixer, Avantis mixer or an upstream DX168 via a secure EtherCon port. A second locking EtherCon port is provided for redundant connection to compatible hardware or for cascading to another DX168 for additional remote I/O.
The Expander's robust design, with sturdy rubber bumpers, allows it to be placed directly on stage during performances. Weighing only 4.8kg and with a robust carry handle, the ALLEN & HEATH DX-168 offers the convenience and portability required in rental, education, houses of worship and many other environments. An optional 4U rackmount kit is available for installation in industry-standard 19-inch racks.
