The ALLEN & HEATH MIXWIZARD4 14:4:2 is a 14-channel mixer featuring 4-band EQ (2 parametric for mid-range frequencies), high-quality 100mm faders, 6 aux sends, a 12-segment meter bar, and the exclusive QCC connector for desktop use or rack/flightcase mounting.
New features in the 4th generation MixWizard include 2 new digital effects engines with 20 studio-quality presets, EQ in/out switch, and a multichannel USB interface with an optional 16-channel card for multitrack recording and 2-track playback.
In FoH mode, the 4 groups with inserts, 100mm faders, and XLR outputs allow for more precise balance management for L&R mixing. The L&R master has the option to insert external devices. The left and right faders are separate, and the output connections are XLR. Equalizers or signal processors can be easily inserted into both groups and the main mix.
In Monitor mode, aux sends can be patched to the group and L&R faders, also utilizing the insert connections and XLR outputs. AFL and PFL monitoring is routed to the Mono output to provide a true "wedge" for the stage engineer. Essentially, this is a perfect stage mixer with 6 aux sends, plus the ability to use the available groups on the aux master controls.
In Dual Mode, some auxes can be used for managing stage monitors and sub-groups for L&R; this way, the sound engineer can manage the FoH sound system and stage monitors from the same mixer.
