The ALLEN & HEATH QU-PAC is an ultra-compact 38-channel digital mixer with an integrated touchscreen and an iPad control app. Designed for live music and sound installations, the ALLEN & HEATH QU-PAC is a standalone, rack-mountable mixer that provides flexible solutions for bands and multi-purpose environments such as schools, hotels, and bars. The ALLEN & HEATH QU-PAC's connectivity offers 16 mono inputs, 3 stereo inputs, and 12 mix outputs on the rear panel, but can be expanded to 38 inputs / 28 outputs by connecting via Cat5 to remote Allen & Heath AudioRacks. The mixer offers total recall of settings and preamps, USB multitrack recording via Qu-Drive, a choice of personal monitoring solutions, channel ducking, multichannel USB streaming, and a renewed iLive FX Library of exceptional audio quality, making it the most complete digital mixer in its class.
The Qu-Pad app for iPad allows instant wireless control of the mixer's main settings and parameters, freeing the operator to mix the show from anywhere in the venue. Unlike rack-mounted digital mixers based entirely on tablet control, the ALLEN & HEATH QU-PAC's 5" high-resolution color touchscreen provides easy access to all functions, offering a simple interface for daily operation and backup in case of Wi-Fi connection issues disrupting control. The fully customizable Qu-Control screen can be set up with 'widgets' for channel levels, mute and assignment switches, organized to suit the user's needs and experience. 15 soft keys allow further customization, while different password-protected access levels can be set.
As well as stereo recording or playback from a USB stick, the built-in 18-channel Qu-Drive can record and play back stereo and multitrack .wav audio files to a USB stick or drive, with the convenience of computer-free recording in live applications. Qu-Pac's 32x32 USB streaming interface, compatible with Windows and Mac, makes Qu-Pac the perfect solution for monitoring, control, and overdubbing in the studio. To further increase flexibility, in the case of fixed installations or expanding bands, the low-latency Allen & Heath dSNAKE audio connection allows the mixer to be connected via a single Cat5 digital cable to remote AB168, AR84, and AR2412 AudioRacks. In addition, the ALLEN & HEATH QU-PAC offers two solutions for personal monitoring: via the Qu-You iPhone app or by using ME-1 personal mixers, connectable to the mixer via the dSNAKE port.
The mixer's mic/line inputs feature recallable AnaLOGIQ pad-less preamps, optimized for transparency and low harmonic distortion.
The ALLEN & HEATH QU-PAC is equipped with a selection of FX emulations developed for the professional iLive touring series, along with all the tools a sound engineer expects, such as RTA and comprehensive metering and monitoring.
