ALLEN & HEATH SQ-6 is a new generation digital mixer, featuring Allen & Heath's revolutionary XCVI 96kHz FPGA engine. Designed to excel in demanding scenarios such as AV, corporate events, live productions, and houses of worship, ALLEN & HEATH SQ-6 offers high-resolution audio fidelity and ultra-low latency (less than 0.7ms). The console has 24 exceptional built-in microphone preamps, plus 8 stereo FX with dedicated return channels and access to the famous RackExtra FX library. ALLEN & HEATH SQ-6 is a perfect choice for setups involving in-ear monitors, thanks to its 12 stereo mixes (configurable as Groups or Auxes), and the Automatic Mic Mixing (AMM)* function makes it an excellent choice for conferences, debates, and more.
The architecture of SQ's DEEP Processing function allows you to manually choose boutique compressor and preamp emulations to suit your style and needs. DEEP plug-ins can be embedded directly into the mixer's input and mix channels without adding system latency or setup issues.
ALLEN & HEATH SQ-6 has all the necessary I/O for standalone operation. Thanks to its intelligent SLink port, it can be expanded to a total of 48 microphone inputs via a family of 96kHz and 48kHz rack expanders (e.g., AB168, AR2412, AR84, and DX168), and Mix & Match, for owners of other Allen & Heath digital systems. You can also connect your SQ directly to another SQ or even a dLive system.
The integrated SQ-Drive unit allows you to quickly and easily capture a 96kHz multitrack recording or a stereo recording of the show onto a USB stick or hard drive. No software configuration, no sound card drivers, and no extra laptop to carry to the gig. SQ-Drive is also a smart way to manage walk-in music. A 32x32 96kHz integrated audio interface is also provided for multitrack recording, backing tracks, or virtual soundcheck applications. The interface is Core Audio and ASIO compliant and includes MIDI and DAW control functions.
