Allen & Heath SQ7+

Allen & Heath SQ7+ is a digital mixer for live applications, touring, installations, and recording studios. It features a 96kHz XCVI core, 48 processing channels, 4 dedicated RackUltra FX, and 8 standard FX engines for a total of 12 simultaneous effects. Multitrack recording can be done on a computer via USB-B 32 In/32 Out or on external mass storage via USB-A. The 128x128 SLink port and dedicated expansion slot allow integration with stageboxes and Dante, Waves, and MADI protocols, alongside existing connections: 32 XLR mic/line inputs, 16 analog XLR outputs, and a digital stereo AES3 output.
Allen & Heath SQ7+ represents the most extended configuration of the SQ+ platform, designed for FOH, monitor, and complex installation applications where maximum physical control and routing management capacity is required. The system is based on a 96kHz XCVI FPGA core with up to 96-bit depth and latency under 0.7 ms, ensuring phase coherence and signal integrity throughout the entire audio chain.
The architecture manages 48 fully processed input channels to 44 buses, with 12 configurable mixes, 6 matrices, and fully patchable routing. Each channel includes polarity, trim, variable HPF, gate/expander with full sidechain, 4-band parametric EQ, advanced compressor, and delay up to 341 ms. Mix buses include 28-band GEQ, PEQ, compression, and delay up to 682 ms.
The surface integrates 33 motor faders (100 mm) on 6 layers, allowing simultaneous access to a greater number of channels compared to lower models, with concrete benefits in complex live contexts. The CH to All Mix function allows simultaneous management of sends, optimizing FOH and monitor workflows.
The 9” capacitive touchscreen (1024x600) manages routing, processing, and configuration via a touch-and-turn workflow. The presence of 16 SoftKeys and 8 SoftRotary allows for advanced and customizable control.
The effects section includes 8 FX engines and 4 RackUltra FX with advanced algorithms usable as send/return or insert. The system supports DEEP processing with advanced dynamic models without impacting latency or resources.
Two configurable Automatic Mic Mixers up to 48 channels, dual RTA analyzer, signal generator, and scene management with 300 memories are integrated.
Connectivity includes 32 XLR mic/line inputs with gain up to +60 dB, -20 dB pad, and phantom power, stereo TRS and mini jack inputs, 16 XLR outputs, TRS outputs, and AES3 output. The 128x128 SLink port allows integration with stageboxes, ME systems, and advanced digital protocols.
The USB-B 32In/32Out interface allows multitrack recording and integration with DAW software, while USB-A supports direct recording. Remote control is available via network on desktop and mobile platforms.
Compared to the SQ-7 model, the SQ7+ introduces greater processing power, 4 RackUltra FX, an updated user interface, and improvements in interaction and function management.
