The ALLEN & HEATH ZEDi 8 is a mixer with an audio interface that offers musicians, recording artists, and venues the robustness and hands-on control of an analog mixer combined with the versatility and convenience of a 2x2 USB interface. Featuring the newly designed boutique GSPre preamp, derived from the renowned professional GS-R24 console, it delivers massive headroom with exceptionally low noise, coupled with the warmth and depth of analog technology. The ALLEN & HEATH ZEDi 8 includes a pair of high-impedance DI inputs for guitars, allowing direct connection of the instrument to the mixer without the need for separate DI boxes.
The ALLEN & HEATH ZEDi 8 offers the best of analog and digital, integrating a 2-in/2-out USB audio interface with professional 24-bit/96kHz quality for recording and playing back tracks to/from Mac or PC, or to an iOS device via the iOS camera kit, seamlessly. The USB output source can be configured in various ways to suit your workflow.
The ALLEN & HEATH ZEDi 8 comes bundled with the Cubasis LE app. Cubasis LE is the compact version of Steinberg's streamlined multitouch sequencer for iPad, with the same look and feel as its bigger brother Cubasis. Designed specifically for quick and easy operation, Cubasis LE makes recording, editing, and mixing a breeze.
The ALLEN & HEATH ZEDi 8 features an exceptional newly designed preamp, created by analog technology guru Mike Griffin and derived from his acclaimed professional GS-R24 recording console. Known as GSPre, these preamps offer exceptionally low noise and massive headroom, along with the warmth and depth for which Allen & Heath analog series are famous. For tone shaping, the MusiQ EQ controls have been optimized for responsiveness and precision: shaping and enhancing every sound source will now be effortless!
