The ALTO PROFESSIONAL TRUESONIC TS318S SUB is an 18" powered subwoofer with Class D amplification (2000 Watts peak, 1000 Watts continuous). These subwoofers extend the low-frequency coverage of any full-range speaker system, optimizing the overall performance of the audio system across the entire spectrum.
The ALTO PROFESSIONAL TRUESONIC TS318S SUB stands out for its long-excursion woofers securely installed inside a robust, computer-optimized ported cabinet for optimal low-frequency power output. The cabinet is made of high-density composite wood, perfect for its acoustic characteristics, robust and not prone to resonance.
The ALTO PROFESSIONAL TRUESONIC TS318S SUB features an integrated DSP that allows for 6 selectable configuration presets via a button on the rear panel. 4 of these presets have been programmed for the full-range speakers of the TS2 and TS3 series produced by the same American company, while the other two (Hi-Pass or Bypass mode) can be used to integrate the TS3 subwoofers into setups composed of speakers from other brands and models. The computer-aided design of these subs, based on modal and static finite element analysis (FEA), has allowed for the optimization of the cone's magnetic structure to maintain maximum sensitivity. The dense coil winding and the adhesives used in construction ensure optimal use of the input signal and extreme high-temperature resistance, respectively. The subwoofers in this series are all equipped with limiting and protection circuits to prevent clipping, overheating, and transducer overload, for maximum usability even at extreme settings.
