8 x 400W Multi-Channel Amplifier
AMPHION AMP 400.8 is an 8-channel, 410W per channel multi-channel amplifier built on the highly advanced Class-D platform, delivering ample, fast, controlled, and low-distortion power. To achieve the required sound character and performance, an in-house designed buffer stage has been added to complement the merits of the latest Class D technology. The buffer stage improves impedance characteristics and channel cohesion, allowing speed, control, neutrality, and ultra-low distortion to present themselves in an emotionally engaging manner.
While AMPHION AMP 400.8 was developed primarily for immersive audio, nothing prevents its use in other multi-channel applications as well. Since all 8 channels are identical and discrete, it can also be used in a 2-channel environment to drive up to 4 pairs of passive speakers. It will drive both 8-ohm and 4-ohm loads equally well and pairs perfectly with all Amphion models.
While AMPHION AMP 400.8 was developed and optimized for Amphion monitors, it provides excellent results with a wide range of passive loudspeakers. Neutrik XLR and Speakon connectors provide a convenient and secure way to connect the amplifier to the rest of the system.
