AMPHION BASETWO25 is an active low-frequency extension system featuring 2 bass extension towers and a 2 x 700 W amplifier, creating a perfectly time- and phase-integrated three-way system that extends down to 20Hz.
AMPHION BASETWO25 features 25 cm (10") long-throw woofers with matching 25 cm passive radiators mounted in a back-to-back force-canceling mode on both sides of the cabinet. It is powered by a 2 x 700 W amplifier and a fourth-order active crossover module with selectable discrete crossover point and variable volume control housed in a 2U rack chassis.
AMPHION BASETWO25 transforms a 2-way monitor into a full-range 3-way system. The system consists of a 2U crossover/amplifier and two identical double-sided extensions. Each side of the extender has a 10" long-throw woofer at the top and a matching passive radiator below. For the best possible integration, the extenders also serve as monitor stands. Thanks to the benefits of force cancellation, the extenders remain stable even during the most demanding bass tracks.
BaseTwo25 has four possible crossover settings: 40 Hz, 60 Hz, 80 Hz, and 100 Hz.
For optimal integration, AMPHION BASETWO25 creates an additional crossover point and transforms a 2-way monitor into a
cohesive full-range 3-way system.
AMPHION BASETWO25 improves power handling and reduces intermodulation distortion of the mid-woofers. The best crossover setting depends on the monitors and listening level. The system has a bypass option for those times when you want to use your monitors for a tighter mid-range. The bypass is selectable via footswitch or by pressing the button on the BaseAmp's front panel.
AMPHION BASETWO25 works with all Amphion products, as well as with monitors that have sufficient speed and resolution in the mid-high/low frequencies.
