The APOGEE DUET 3 is a USB 3.0 audio interface featuring an integrated hardware DSP that allows for zero-latency recording using the Symphony ECS Channel Strip plugin. Developed in collaboration with Bob Clearmountain, the ECS Channel Strip includes numerous presets created by the legendary sound engineer, perfect for professionally capturing any source.
With 2 inputs and 4 outputs featuring Apogee's legendary AD/DA conversion, plus two world-renowned preamps, the APOGEE DUET 3 is the perfect partner for home recording and mobile use.
The mic preamps in the APOGEE DUET 3 are first-class. With up to 65 dB of gain and 48V phantom power, you can capture any sound source cleanly and precisely, even when using the most demanding microphones. Apogee's meticulous engineering ensures extremely low noise and prevents distortion even when increasing the gain.
The APOGEE DUET 3 features an integrated DSP for real-time activation of Apogee FX, which precisely shape the incoming audio and allow you to achieve an almost perfect track right away, all with zero latency.
Developed in collaboration with mixing legend Bob Clearmountain, the Symphony ECS Channel Strip DSP version included with the APOGEE DUET 3 includes an EQ, a compressor, and a saturator that allow you to create the perfect sound while capturing vocals or instruments, thanks also to the numerous presets created by Clearmountain, and record with zero latency through the Duet 3's integrated DSP.
Apogee FX and FX Rack plug-ins offer superior sound quality and full-bandwidth performance (44.1 to 192 kHz) for all Mac DAWs. From visually modern interfaces that allow you to precisely process your sound, to meticulously modeled vintage hardware approved by the hardware manufacturer, Apogee plug-ins will quickly find their way into any everyday recording toolkit.
The brand-new Apogee Control 2 mixer/control panel allows full access to the functions and parameters of the APOGEE DUET 3, including the Symphony ECS Channel Strip FX (sold separately) running on the hardware DSP. Apogee Control 2 is common to all Apogee products and will allow Apogee's technical support and engineers to quickly intervene following macOS and Windows updates, ensuring compatibility with your workstation.
The control knob of the APOGEE DUET 3 offers a luxurious and reliable tactile feel, and allows you to adjust the output level, microphone preamp gain, and navigate through functions. The knob's subtle purple illumination adds an extra touch to the Duet 3 user experience.
Precisely shaped to provide ergonomic control, the slim chassis of the APOGEE DUET 3 features scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass for a modern yet robust look.
