Arturia AstroLab 88
Estimated delivery in Italy between 25 and 27 August
Hammer-action keyboard and executive response
The 88-key Fatar TP‑40L mechanism with triple sensor and aftertouch is designed to offer a realistic piano response and precise dynamic control, while maintaining the flexibility needed for extended splits and complex layering. This configuration makes AstroLab 88 suitable for pianists, band keyboardists, and contexts where expressive control is a priority.
Sound engines and library for live performance
AstroLab 88 integrates 11 synthesis engines covering virtual analog, sampling, wavetable, FM, granular, physical modeling, vector synthesis, harmonic, phase distortion, Karplus, and vocoder. The internal library of 1,800 sounds, optimized for live use and derived from Arturia instruments. Compatibility with Analog Lab, V Collection, and Pigments allows expanding the palette to over 10,000 sounds, building custom repertoires for tours, productions, and specific sets.
Live workflow and immediate control
The navigation system with screen and dedicated control allows for quick browsing even in stage conditions. The 10 preset buttons ensure immediate recall of key sounds, while the 4 assignable macros allow intervention on the main parameters without deep editing. Dedicated controls for Delay and Reverb facilitate real-time adaptation of the sound to the environment and the band's mix.
Performance and arrangement tools
Multis and Keyboard Split functions allow assigning different sounds to keyboard zones or layering complex sounds. Arpeggiator, Looper, and Chord and Scale modes support modern performances, transitions between songs, and solo or hybrid sets, maintaining harmonic and rhythmic consistency even in dynamic contexts.
Studio–stage integration
AstroLab 88 can be used as a completely standalone instrument or as a hardware extension for studio software. Analog Lab Pro allows refining, recording, and organizing sounds, while AstroLab Connect allows managing presets and setlists from mobile devices, ensuring total continuity between preparation, rehearsal, and performance.
Construction and reliability
The aluminum and bakelite chassis is designed for professional use and touring. Each unit is tested to ensure reliability on stage, reducing the need for additional hardware and simplifying setup.
