Arturia KeyLab 49 Mk3 White
Estimated delivery in Italy between 25 and 27 August
KeyLab mk3 is a high-end MIDI controller developed for deep integration with major DAWs. Its immediate controls for software and hardware instruments allow for clear management of programs and mappings directly from the keyboard. This black version (Black) combines the same functional design with a targeted aesthetic choice. The black finish reduces the visual perception of the surface and emphasizes gestures: a sober look, perfect for studio, control room, and live use.
Keyboard, Expressivity, and Performance
The semi-weighted action with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch transforms the master keyboard into an instrument, not just a "remote control": more control over synths, virtual pianos, and continuous modulations. In the 49-key (4-octave) version, some buttons and the pitch and modulation wheels are positioned on the left side to optimize space; the functions remain identical to the 61-key version.
Display, Touch-Sensitive Controls, and Workflow
The color display (3.5" / 320x480 px) with 8 contextual buttons enables fast navigation, settings, and feedback. The 9 encoders and 9 touch-sensitive faders offer precise and readable control: touching a control brings up useful information on the screen, while assignments remain customizable via the MIDI Control Center. The 12 velocity and pressure-sensitive RGB pads, with 4 banks, cover finger drumming, clip launching, and extensive, user-customizable mapping.
DAW Integration and Instrument Control
KeyLab mk3 supports MCU and HUI protocols and integrates dedicated mappings for Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, and Bitwig Studio, with transport controls and operational functions (save/undo/redo, etc.) always at hand. In Arturia mode, the synergy with Analog Lab allows for preset browsing, multi-management (split/layer), and macro control consistently across the screen and hardware.
Onboard Creative Tools
Scale Mode helps stay in the set key; Chord Mode allows you to build and play complex chords with one finger, with strum/voicing/spread options; the Arpeggiator includes comprehensive parameters (division, gate, swing, octave) and a Random mode designed for generative patterns. These functions are useful in both production and live settings, when an idea needs to be quickly transformed into playable musical material.
Connections, Power, and Reliability
In addition to the USB-C connection (power and data), KeyLab mk3 includes MIDI DIN In/Out and pedal inputs (sustain, expression, aux) for hybrid setups. It can also operate without a computer using an optional 12V DC 1A power supply. The construction with wood and aluminum elements is designed for intensive use, with eco-designed packaging.
