Hybrid synthesizer with digital oscillators and analog filters
The new Arturia MicroFreak hybrid synthesizer combines digital oscillators with analog filters and features a capacitive keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch. This small but powerful synth also offers all the versatility of wavetable synthesis to create interesting new sounds with extreme ease. Modes like Texturer, KarplusStrong, Harmonic OSC, and Superwave offer musicians the opportunity to explore totally new and unprecedented creative possibilities. Perfect for both young musicians and experienced professionals, MicroFreak's powerful and flexible synthesis engine includes physical modeling, wavetable synthesis, and virtual analog. MicroFreak is equipped with 11 oscillators, 4 custom Arturia engines, and 7 modes inspired by the Mutable Instruments brand. MicroFreak's filter is based on the 12dB Oberheim SEM filter, is state-variable, and also features self-oscillation. There are no limits to filter management; you can automate the cutoff by modulating it with keyboard pressure and the built-in sequencer, but also use it to best emphasize sounds generated by wavetable synthesis. Record up to four automations, edit notes per step, or use the innovative Spice and Dice functions of the sequencer. Add randomization to create original evolving patterns and virtually re-wire and reconfigure the signal chain and controls with the 5x7 modulation matrix. Whether you're looking for your first hardware synthesizer or are an insider looking for original sounds and a unique interface, MicroFreak is the synthesizer you need.
