The AUDIO TECHNICA AE2500 is a dual-element condenser and dynamic microphone. Its dynamic capsule highlights the aggressive attack of the kick drum, while the condenser capsule captures the rounder tones of the beat. Two layers of resistive mesh create multiple densities on the side ports of the dynamic element, precisely controlling when off-axis signals reach the diaphragm.
