AUDIOQUEST ROCKET 33 is an Hi-Fi speaker cable with Star-Quad geometry, which is not only far superior to parallel conductors, but also to two-twisted-pair conductors.
AUDIOQUEST ROCKET 33 uses a careful combination of Long-Grain Copper (LGC) and very high-purity Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC). LGC has fewer oxides within the conductor material, fewer impurities, fewer grain boundaries, and demonstrably better performance. PSC's astonishingly smooth and pure surface further eliminates harshness and greatly increases clarity.
The negative conductors in this cable are covered with partially conductive Carbon-Loaded Polyethylene. This remarkable material reduces RF garbage being fed back into the amplifier. The sonic benefit is precisely the same reduction of "hash" and improved dimensionality that occurs whenever RF interference is reduced in an audio circuit. In addition, a carbon layer damps interaction between positive and negative conductors, and an external carbon-based noise-dissipation system reduces external interference.
AUDIOQUEST ROCKET 33 uses Foamed-Polyethylene insulation on both conductors. Because air absorbs next to no energy and Polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile, Foamed-PE, with its high air content, causes much less of the out-of-focus effect common to other materials.
