AUDIOQUEST YOSEMITE 2RCA Analog Audio Interconnect Cable
Analog-Audio Interconnect Cable
AUDIOQUEST YOSEMITE is an analog-audio interconnect cable that features better metals and more sophisticated technologies, including air-tube insulation, the dielectric bias system, and the noise dissipation system.
All Bridges & Falls series cables place left and right channels in a single jacket and feature an asymmetrical double-balanced geometry with separate high-quality positive and negative conductors. This design allows for a thin, flexible, and versatile high-performance cable that can be terminated with a variety of today's connections, including 3.5mm (male or female), DIN, and RCA.
Designed for single-ended applications, the asymmetrical double-balanced geometry offers a relatively lower ground impedance for a richer, more dynamic experience. While many single-ended cable designs use a single path for both ground and shielding, double-balanced designs separate the two for cleaner, quieter performance.
To prevent captured radio-frequency interference (RFI) from modulating the equipment's ground reference, AQ's noise dissipation is necessary. Traditional shielding systems typically absorb and then drain RF noise/energy to the component's ground, modulating and distorting the critical "reference" ground plane, which in turn causes signal distortion. Noise dissipation "shields the shield," absorbing and reflecting most of this RF noise/energy before it reaches the layer attached to ground.
AUDIOQUEST YOSEMITE features cold-welded, direct silver-plated pure red copper terminations. Direct silver plating is optimized for sound. It appears dull because there is no underlying layer of shiny nickel that causes distortion.
AUDIOQUEST YOSEMITE is equipped with Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors that prevent electrical and magnetic strand interaction. PSC+ Solid-Copper minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries and maximizes linear RF noise dissipation.
The Dielectric-BIAS System with an RF trap (developed for AudioQuest's Niagara series of power products) ensures that radio-frequency noise is not induced into the signal conductors by the DBS field elements. (DBS, US Patent Nos. 7,126,055 and 7,872,195 B1).
Positive conductors benefit from almost no contact between the metal and its FEP insulation, which is distinguished by its superior dielectric constant and minimal signal interference. Negative conductors benefit from intentional "lossy insulation": no air and no FEP help maximize the different work of the negative connection.
