AUDIOQUEST YOSEMITE is an analog audio interconnect cable featuring superior metals and sophisticated technologies, including air-tube insulation, dielectric-bias polarization system, and noise-dissipation system.
All cables in the Bridges & Falls series position the left and right channels in a single jacket and feature asymmetrical double-balanced geometry with separated high-quality positive and negative conductors. This design enables a thin, flexible, and versatile high-performance cable that can be terminated with a variety of today's connections, including 3.5 mm (male or female), DIN, and RCA.
Designed for single-ended applications, the asymmetrical double-balanced geometry provides relatively lower ground impedance for a richer and more dynamic experience. While many single-ended cable models use a single path for both ground and shielding, double-balanced models separate the two for cleaner and quieter performance.
To prevent radio-frequency interference (RFI) captured from modulating the equipment's ground reference, AQ's noise-dissipation is required. Traditional shielding systems typically absorb and then drain noise/RF energy to component ground, modulating and distorting the critical "reference" ground plane, which in turn causes signal distortion. "Shield the Shield" noise dissipation absorbs and reflects most of this noise/RF energy before it reaches the grounded layer.
AUDIOQUEST YOSEMITE features pure red copper terminations cold-soldered and plated with direct silver plating. Direct silver plating is optimized for sound. It appears matte because there is no underlying shiny nickel layer that causes distortion.
AUDIOQUEST YOSEMITE is equipped with Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) solid copper conductors that prevent the interaction of electrical and magnetic wires. PSC+ Solid-Copper minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries and maximizes linear RF noise dissipation.
The Dielectric-Bias System with an RF trap (developed for the AudioQuest Niagara power-supply series), ensures that radio-frequency noise is not induced into signal conductors by DBS field elements. (DBS, U.S. Patent No. 7,126,055 and 7,872,195 B1).
Positive conductors benefit from almost no contact between the metal and its FEP insulation, which is distinguished by its superior dielectric constant and minimal signal interference. Negative conductors benefit from intentional "lossy insulation": neither air nor FEP helps to maximize the different work of the negative connection.
