There's a reason the Auratone 5C Super Sound Cube was inducted into the TECnology Hall of Fame in 2016! There was always something about Auratone speakers that made them easy to listen to, perfect for mixing, and capable of best representing how listening would occur on any small radio or TV speakers around the world. When they ceased production, they left a gap in the market that some attempted, but none succeeded in filling. Today, Jack Wilson's grandson decided to resume production of the Auratone brand, using modern techniques and new inspirations to recreate the classic sound. After extensive testing and reproduction of the original driver, Auratone has finally achieved the purest sound, with the same characteristics as the original 5C Super Sound Cube. The drivers are made entirely in the USA, and the enclosures are handcrafted in Auratone's Nashville workshop, along with assembly and testing. The 5C, which became famous in the 70s and 80s and was used in practically every major recording studio in the world, is still the undisputed standard for "real-world" monitoring in recording studios. Its durability, flat and full-range frequency response, extraordinary power handling, and portability made Auratones the preferred reference monitors in the music, broadcast, and film industries.
