The BLACK LION AUDIO SEVENTEEN COMPRESSOR is a FET compressor designed to be a reinterpretation rather than a remake of the famous Urei 1176. Designed in collaboration with hitmaker Tobias Lindell and featuring a redesigned and improved IC-based front-end, the BLACK LION AUDIO SEVENTEEN COMPRESSOR reveals incredible detail and nuance not normally possible with this style of compressor. This new front-end circuit is coupled with a custom-designed output transformer, made in Chicago, engineered to give this unit a massive foundation that balances the open end very well. Also included is BLACK LION AUDIO's exclusive power decoupling system for an incredibly quiet noise floor. The BLACK LION AUDIO SEVENTEEN COMPRESSOR also uses high-quality Nichicon signal capacitors. The BLACK LION AUDIO SEVENTEEN COMPRESSOR also features functionalities that users normally consider upgrades or mods, including a frequency-adjustable sidechain, separate selectable high-pass and low-pass filters, and a wet/dry mix knob to allow users to blend the wet signal into the compressed signal. The BLACK LION AUDIO SEVENTEEN COMPRESSOR has a tonal range inaccessible to any other similar product on the market today. It also includes the important stereo link function for connecting two units.
