Media Dock Ultra is a high-performance expansion unit/dock designed to house Blackmagic Media Modules and share them over a network via two completely independent 100G Ethernet ports.
It allows you to use the modules as high-speed removable storage, thanks also to SDI and HDMI monitoring of system status and synchronization with Blackmagic Cloud.
Media Modules use four M.2 units in RAID 0 to ensure extremely high speeds, perfect for editing files recorded with URSA Cine directly without needing local copying. The rack-mount design houses up to three modules and includes status LEDs, front-to-back cooling with multiple fans, and redundant power supplies for quiet and reliable operation even in mission-critical environments.
Synchronization with Blackmagic Cloud allows teams to share a common local cache, making files immediately available to everyone without downloading and enabling global collaboration with synchronized local copies in multiple locations. SDI and HDMI outputs provide real-time viewing of dock status, including transfer graphs, module usage, and cloud synchronization status.
Thanks to the 100G ports, Media Dock Ultra is designed to integrate seamlessly with HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G, allowing simultaneous recording of 8 cameras in ProRes and immediate editing in DaVinci Resolve even while files are still being written.
