A.P.E. EQUALIZER

The 40mm pressure equalizer sphere is a passive acoustic processor that acts as both a spatial and spectral modifier. It uses diffraction phenomena on the sphere's surface to modify the sound field near the microphone diaphragm.

The effect is an increase in mid-high and high frequencies, without altering the low range, due to pressure buildup at certain frequencies, accompanied by increased directivity at higher frequencies, resulting in greater directional focus.

EASE OF USE

The compact, high-quality orbital mount allows the sound engineer to achieve any microphone positioning with extreme precision, while ensuring a solid structure and simple, rapid movements.

Once secured to the mount, each Ocula microphone can be oriented with extreme precision in the desired direction quickly and easily, and then securely locked into position.

Each Ocula microphone weighs approximately 56 g and features an integrated 3/8" threaded insert at the bottom, allowing it to be attached to a microphone stand. Each mount weighs only 52 g. The total weight of an Ocula stereo configuration is thus just approximately 215 g, while a Decca Tree configuration is approximately 325 g.

Compared to most microphone solutions for Decca Trees, this is an extremely lightweight system, which therefore allows for a much thinner and, consequently, less visible support structure compared to traditional solutions.

OCULA can also be used without the orbital mount, utilizing the integrated 3/8" brass threaded insert, for traditional direct mounting on microphone stands or stereo bars.
