The Briteq DMS-283 RDM is a standard 19" 1U rackmount unit that combines DMX merger, splitter, and booster functions into a single device, offering complete integration for DMX signal management. It ensures total electrical isolation between the two inputs and eight outputs, each with 3-pin XLR connectors, preventing interference and ensuring stable signal flow.
The DMS-283 RDM allows for combining two DMX signals in various ways. HTP mode prioritizes the highest value between two identical channels, while LTP mode favors the last modified value. In case of DMX signal failure on input A, the backup function allows the signal from input B to take over immediately, ensuring operational continuity. Additionally, the signal from input A can be assigned to outputs 1 to 4, and the signal from input B to outputs 5 to 8, offering flexible signal management.
In the event of simultaneous DMX signal interruption on both inputs, the DMS-283 RDM offers three behavior options: completely interrupt the DMX signal, maintain the last recorded values, or set all values to zero.
The splitter function distributes the DMX signal from inputs A and B to eight identical outputs. Thanks to RDM filtering, unexpected behavior of connected DMX devices can be prevented, improving system compatibility and stability. The device also allows adjusting the DMX output refresh rate between 20 and 40 Hz, adapting to both fast DMX controllers and slower devices.
The graphic OLED display on the front panel facilitates settings management.
