BSS AR133 professional active DI box. The AR-133 was designed to provide maximum audio performance and functionality at a low cost. The unit accepts phantom power and battery power. In the event of a sudden power interruption from the console, the AR-133 will instantly power the microphone, eliminating potential work interruptions. The unit is housed in an extruded aluminum case, with polyurethane finishes, for a distinct look. The input connectors are all ¼" jacks and XLRs, meaning the AR-133 can be used to convert unbalanced signals to balanced via XLR. The arched case allows cables to pass underneath the unit itself, keeping cable routing tidy. Input attenuation can be selected from 0, -20, or -40 dB, making the box suitable for any instrument, line, or amplifier input level. A ground lift switch is available on the output to quickly resolve ground issues. The AR-133 uses an improved version of the same audio path as the AR-116, considered by many to be the standard reference. The sound quality is legendary, particularly on acoustic guitars and basses. Numerous applications can be handled by the AR-133. For example, it works equally well with acoustic guitars and keyboards, DJ consoles, amplifier outputs, and other electronic sources. An additional bonus is the ability to use the AR-133 as a signal balancer.
