BLU-BOB 1
The BLU-BOB "Break-Out-Box" provides 8 analog output channels from the BLU-Link network to which it is connected. BLU-Link is the well-known, fault-tolerant, wide-band digital audio bus for multi-channel audio transport in the Soundweb London line. This expander can therefore be connected to the BLU-Link network via CAT5e cable for a maximum distance of 100m, or via single-mode fiber optic cable through the MC-1 media converter, to reach distances of over 10km.
The choice of the 8 output channels can be easily made by setting 6 rear DIP switches, which select one of 32 groups of 8 contiguous BLU-Link channels (BLU-Link allows bidirectional transport of 256 audio channels). The BLU-BOB is therefore set up in a stand-alone manner, and does not require programming through the HiQnetT London Architect software.
The eight line outputs use the same euroblock connectors as other members of the Soundweb family. Signal presence and power status are clearly indicated by a set of front LEDs.
The BLU-BOB is available in two versions: the BLU-BOB1 has a half 19'' rack unit size, for desktop or wall mounting, while the BLU-BOB2 comes in a standard 19'' rack unit.
